Linda Helton Brotherton, 81, passed away peacefully on March 11, 2025. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Ellis Brotherton; and two siblings, Larry Helton and Nora Anthony Shope. She is survived by her children, Eric Brotherton and wife, Marianne, and Wendy Stockman and wife, Wendy Coleman. Her joy was her grandchildren, Sierra Martin and husband, Adam, Colby Brotherton and fiance', Gracie Womack, Carson Brotherton, Riley Purvis and husband, Desmond, as well as her great grandchild, Magnolia Martin. She is also survived by her siblings, Benny Helton and wife, Delores, Clyde Helton and wife, Margaret, Patsy Helton and husband, Tommy; her sister-in-law, Cindy Helton; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 29, 2025, in the fellowship hall of Faith Baptist Church, Iron Station, NC. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting www.stjude.org, or to the Wounded Warrior Project by visiting www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
