Linda (Wilson) Hicks

Linda Hicks, age 59, went to be with her Lord on March 22, 2026.  She was born in Charlotte to Linda Sue Nanney Welch and Jimmy Wilson.  Linda was more than a mother, she was a guide, confidant, and a living remainder that life is meant to be embraced, not contained.  Her laughter was unrestrained, her advice honest, and her love unconditional.  

Linda is preceded in death by her father, Jimmy Wilson, her grandmother Frances Poole, and many loved ones who welcomed her home.  She is survived by her loving husband Jimmy Hearn; her mother Linda Welch, her sisters: Renee Wilson and Jennifer Pruitt (Jimmy) ; her daughter Jaquata Moss (Matthew); her sons John Stone and Eddie Cannon; her grandchildren: Matthew, John, and Callie ; her goddaughters Malinda and Tiffani Pruitt- each of whom brought joy to her life.  

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday March 26, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends beginning one hour prior to the service on Thursday also at the Funeral Home.
