Linda Kay (Mahaffey) Tino

Linda Kaye Tino was born on November 21, 1944 to the late Walter Racene Mahaffey and Berta (Bertie) Lyles Mahaffey. Sadly, she passed away at Caromont Regional Medical Center on September 3rd, 2021 surrounded by her children and grandchildren. Linda is preceded in death by her loving Husband, Larry Ross Tino; their daughter Barbara Denise Barnes; and infant son, Jeffery Ross Tino.

She is survived by her two daughters, Amy and Jennifer; her five grandchildren, Jeffery, Kayla, Natalie, Nicholas, and Justin; her five great grandchildren, Marleigh, Mayvis, Bella, Bentley, and Khloe; and her sister, Carolyn Francis Braswell.

Linda enjoyed working for many years for Gaston Hospice before her retirement. She had a one of a kind outgoing personality who loved her family and enjoyed spending time with all of her great grandchildren. She was a member of Chapel Grove Baptist church.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Tino will be held at 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Pastor Roger Overton and Pastor Mark Albertino will officiate. Burial will follow in Armstrong Cemetery, Gastonia. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:45 a.m. on Thursday at the funeral home.
