Lorita Robertson Campbell, age 89, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas. She was born in Wayne County West Virginia, daughter of the late Mike Robertson and Luverna Workman Robertson. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband C.B. Campbell, her son Patrick O'meara; grandson Andrew O'meara, and her siblings: Juanita Chaffin, Lucille Robertson, Mack, James, and Charles Robertson.
She was a lady of strong faith and was a member of Gastonia Church of Christ. While raising three small children, she graduated from nursing school and went on to dedicate her life to taking care of others. She found happiness in shag dancing, and always enjoyed her Friday nights dancing with friends. In her spare time she enjoyed reading, cooking, flowers and trips to the beach.
Those left to cherish her memory include her two sons: Thomas and Michael O'Meara; Sister Dreama Klaiber; grandchildren: Josh, Mikayla, Sara, Thomas III, Mackenzie, Richard, and Andrew; great grandchildren: Rory, Lexi, and Lucy, as well as her great great grandson Arthur.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday January 19, 2026 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly with Pastor Jerrod Doss officiating. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Monday also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Carolina Caring Hospice.
