Lula Alice 'Babe' Lambert Arrowood, 101, passed away on Saturday, June 5, 2021. She was born in Burke County, daughter of the late Thomas Andrew Lambert and Lucy Smith Lambert. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lone Arrowood; her children, Kim Morgan, Gaynelle Payne, Betty Harrison, and Bill Arrowood; and her siblings, Elsie Jacumin, Russell Lambert, Ruby Ratliff, Lewis Lambert, Betty Watts, and Lynn Lambert.
Mrs. Arrowood is survived by; a brother Ray Lambert (Eula) of Mt. Holly, Bernice Franklin (Gerald) of Mt. Holly, and Glenda Boughman of Mt. Holly; a son, Keith Arrowood; grandchildren, Wendy Helms, Elizabeth Arrowood, Ryan Morgan, Teresa Gay Drewery, Jill Sosbee, Jack Payne, Joanne Barks, and Jamie Payne; her great-grandchildren, Kelse Arrowood, Kaele Helms, Kilee Helms, Aveya Moss; 3 great great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Arrowood worked 47 years for Superior Yarn Mills in Mt. Holly and was a member of South Point Free Will Baptist Church. She enjoyed gardening, playing cards, Atlanta Braves baseball, and her pet parrot "Pete".
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Arrowood will be held at South Point Free Will Baptist Church on Saturday, June 12, 2021, at 2:00pm with Marvin Carson, and Michael Byrd officiating. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mt. Holly. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at 1:00pm.
