Maddison Taylor Young

Maddison Taylor Young, 21, of Belmont, met Jesus face to face on January 31, 2021. She was born in Mecklenburg County to Adrienne Colvard Bolton and the late Samuel Allen Young, Sr.  Maddison was loved and adored, and will be terribly missed by all who knew her. In addition to her mother, those left to cherish her memory include her stepfather Shane Bolton; paternal grandparents Pastors Ricky and Debora Skeen Young; maternal grandparents Darrell and Teresa Colvard; paternal great grandmothers Dorothy Young and Dorothy Skeen; maternal great grandmother Peggy Bryant; and maternal great grandfather Johnny Colvard; a sister Marissa Alyson Young; brother Samuel Allen Young, Jr; stepbrother Tyler Bolton; two step sisters Madelyne and Caitlyne Bolton; a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, dear friends, and her boyfriend Patrick Durham. The family will greet guests from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at Core Church, 707 Westland Farm Road in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate her life will be held on Thursday, February 4 at 2:00 p.m., also at the church. Interment will follow the service at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont. Arrangements are in the care of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.
