Marcus Walker Obituary
Marcus Gregory Walker, age 48, passed away on August 23, 2021 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. He was born in Gaston county and was the son of the late Carolyn Wiggins Walker. Those left to cherish his memory include his daughter Sarah Walker and his fiancé Angel Jonas. Marcus was a member of the Carolina Garrison 501st legion. He was a funny, and giving person who could always be found smiling. He was a caring father, a loving fiancé and could light up a room in the darkest of moments. Marcus was also very passionate about his charities and helping those in need. He loved dressing in his Star Wars TIE Fighter Pilot costume and seeing children's faces light up at functions and parades. He loved to be outdoors and in nature, especially going to the beach and mountains to kayak and hike. He loved all genres of music and could always be found dancing. He will be greatly missed by friends around the world. The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. on Saturday August 28, 2021 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. In lieu if flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the cystic fibrosis foundation.
