Margaret Ann Martin Perkins, 83, passed away on Friday, June 19, 2026. She was born in Cherokee County, SC, daughter of the late Cecil and Helen Vickers Martin. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Reid Perkins; siblings, Jack Martin, David Martin, Marty Martin Fourshee, and Linda Martin.
Mrs. Perkins is survived by her daughters, Kelly Perkins Walkowiak (John), and Leslie Perkins Drumm (Derek); her grandchildren, Heather (Chris), Zachary, Erin (Mitch), Darian (Cole), and Trinity; her great-grandchildren, Emery, Chloe, Talon, Sawyer, Huntley, Sage, and Clover; her siblings, Denise Brotherton (Jeff), Dawn Martin, Mike Martin (Rhonda), and Stevie Martin (Sherry); and a number of nieces and nephews.
A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Perkins will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 27, 2026, at Castanea Community Church, 14815 Lucia Riverbend Highway, Stanley, NC 28164. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will greet guests from 11:00 a.m. until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
