Marie (Broome) McConnell

Marie McConnell, originally of Mt. Holly, NC, peacefully passed into the arms of our Lord and Savior on December 2, 2024.  

She was born to Lonnie and Ola Broome on March 14, 1929.  Preceded in death in addition to her parents are her granddaughter Taylor McConnell, son in law Jim James and son in law Greg Hill.  She is survived by her three children Sandra James of Cornelius, NC; Tracy Hill Griffin (Gavin) of Iron Station, NC; Ross McConnell III (Chris) of Iron Station, NC; along with 5 grand children, Bryan James, Cindy James, Scotti Biddix (Josh), Reagann Hill (Benjamin), Logan McConnell and one great grandson Maverick Biddix.  

Marie will be remembered as a dedicated loving mother and grandmother.  She was born with a green thumb and loved to garden.  She was an excellent cook and enjoyed fishing at the coast.  

Marie - Mom - Mawmaw will forever live in our hearts as a reminder of strength, perseverance and love.
