Obituary
MaryAnn Johnson Cloninger, 76, of Stanley, passed away on Friday, April 1, 2022, at her home. She was born in Mecklenburg County to the late James Benjamin Johnson and Beulah Bynum Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Dan Cloninger.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children, James Walter Richard, Loretta Richard Parker and her husband Allen, and Wanda Richard Houck; grandchildren, Jessica and Christopher Parker, Erika Hawkins, Brandi Houck, and Charles Richard; great grandchildren, Madilyn, Paisley, and Parker Hawkins; and her brothers Pete Johnson and his wife Liz and Grier "Boy" Johnson and his wife Peggy.
A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Cloninger will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, April 9, 2022, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. A private, family inurnment will follow. The family will greet guests from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
