Mary "Kathy" Katherine (Haggins) Scott

Mary Katherine "Kathy" Haggins Scott, 68, of Mount Holly, went home to be with the Lord while surrounded by her family on Friday, January 22, 2021 at Atrium Health in Charlotte. Kathy was born August 13, 1952 in Montgomery County, daughter of the late Louise and Avon Haggins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son Michael Scott, as well as three brothers Frank, Tim, and John Haggins. Kathy was a member of Tuckaseege Baptist Church in Mount Holly. She was a supervisor at Pharr Yarns. She also worked as a custodian at Warlick School for 12 years. She also worked the flea market in North Belmont for 10 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and her family. Kathy was very talented. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband Pete Scott; son Bobby Scott and his wife Crystal; daughters Tammy Carver and Angie Roseberry; grandchildren Brandon Keller, Megan Woodall, Katie Roseberry, Marybeth Carver, Josh Cook and Emily Carver; three great grandchildren Luaye Keller, Rhett McAbee, and Emersynn Marrow; as well as her sister Barbara Ann Killian and her husband Daryl. The family will greet guests from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021 at Tuckaseege Baptist Church, 511 Tuckaseege Road in Mount Holly. A service to celebrate her life will be held immediately following at 1:00 p.m., also at the church. Interment will follow the service at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
