Maudie RuthAnn Rhinehart, passed away on June 28, 2025 in Lincoln County. She born October 31,1951 in Waynesville, NC . Maudie worked in textiles, the grocery store and was a caregiver for many. Maudie enjoyed taking care of others and was a hard worker. She enjoyed having a good time, laughing and making others laugh. She loved her family, brothers and sisters dearly as long as she lived. Her two grandkids were the diamond of her eye. She was a good Nana, sister and Aunt.
Maudie was preceded in death by both parents Claude and Lula Rhinehart, her brothers Dennis (Wanda) Green, Clayton (Ruth) Rhinehart, Nelson (special sister in law Karen) Rhinehart, Alvin (Emmaline) Green, Ralph (Pearl) Green, Aulden (Sue) Rhinehart, Joe (Linda) Rhinehart and sisters Hazel (Paul) Blankenship, Lora (Roy) Mitchell, Thomasine Green and Willajene Green, Johny Green, Pauline and Auldene Rhinehart and a grandson William Clay Townsend. Living brother Robert (Judy) Rhinehart. One daughter Sharon (Jason) Spivey, two grandchildren Julie (Justin) Lee, Justin (Ashley) Townsend, great-grandchild Carter James Lee. Numerous nieces and nephews. Maudie was part of a large family being the !6th child, "The baby of the family" she always said "her mom saved the best for last!"
A Funeral service will be held on Monday July 7, 2025 at 2:00 pm in the chapel at Woodlawn Funeral Home . A visitation will be held one hour prior to service. The interment will follow at Hillcrest Garden Cemetery. Condolence messages may be sent to the family by visiting www.woodlawnfuneral.org.
