Max Lamar Jolly, 64, passed away on Tuesday, January 5, 2021. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Clarence Jolly and Rose Marie Davis Jolly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Jamie Jolly. He was retired from Duke Power and attended Revival Tabernacle, Mount Holly. He had a love of animals and enjoyed spending time fishing and woodworking.
Mr. Jolly is survived by his wife of 39 years, Joyce Ward Jolly; his children, Ricky Dean Jolly and wife Rhonda, and David Jolly; his grandchildren, Cierra Jolly Cassidy and husband Addison, Josh Jolly, and Coleman Jolly; his great-grandchildren, Riley and Rosaleigh; and his fur-baby, Sadie.
A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Jolly will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will greet friends from 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home. A private burial will be held on Monday at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
