Melony Kay Toler, age 23, passed away on Wednesday October 1, 2025 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Jason Keith Toler, and Kimberly Brown Toler. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her paternal grandparents Paul Toler and Betty Toler, as well as her maternal grandmother Sandra Brown.
She will be remembered as a dedicated mother and an amazing person inside and out. Her outgoing personality and sense of humor made her a special person who will be missed by all who knew her.
Those left to cherish her memory include her children: Royal Kay Sims, Rome Jacob Sims, and Reign Keith Sims; her siblings: Jacob Toler and Kailey Toler; her life partner Steven Sims; her uncles: Jeremy Toler, Josh Toler; her aunts: Tonya Horton, Jessica Mote, and Tisha Mote, her grandmothers Mahoda Davis, and Teresa Farris, her great grandmother Ethel Brown, mother in law Virginia Sims, her brother in law Issac Sims, as well as her close friend Madison Friday.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday October 4, 2025 at True Gospel Interdenominational Church in Stanley: 511 Wilson St. Stanley, NC 28164. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service also at the Church.
