Michael Detmond Bennett

Michael "Mike" Detmond Bennett, 69, passed away on Friday, October 20, 2023. He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Harold Detmond Bennett and Anaira Riding Murphy. Mr. Bennett is survived by his wife, Debbie Buehner Bennett; his daughters, Kassidy Bennett, Angela Wilson (Matthew), and Emily Boatwright; his grandchildren, Garrett Matthew Wilson, Micayla Vann Wilson, Haylen Michelle Wilson, Mirren Gene Wilson, Madison Estes Hall, Samantha Michelle Boatwright, and Brandon Michael Boatwright; as well as his siblings, Susan Bennett Helms (Chuck), Randy Bennett, and David Bennett.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Bennett will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, October 27, 2023, at Core Church, 2316 Acme Rd., Belmont, NC 28012. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. Mr. Bennett's family will greet guests at the church from 12:00 p.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Friday.
