Mildred Jane (Barker) Culpepper

Mildred Jane Barker Culpepper, 96, passed away on Wednesday, September 1, 2021. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Lester and Laura Kelly Barker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert S. Culpepper, Sr.

Mrs. Culpepper is survive by her children, Laura Ann Hargett, Roberta Jane Brewer and her husband, Roger, and Robert Culpepper, Jr. and his wife, Vicky; 5 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; 2 great great-grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Culpepper will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Burial will be private. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 11, 2021 at the funeral home.
