Mildred Evelyn (Parks) Killian

Mildred "Millie" Parks Killian, 84, passed away on Wednesday, August 6, 2025. She was born in Haywood County, daughter of the late General Lee Parks and Nora Medford Parks Shirley. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 53 years, Jimmy Wayne Killian; her dearest son, Jeffery W. Killian; and her precious sisters and brother, Betty Frye, Margaret Trull, Hilda Trantham, Ardis Taylor, and Jerry Mack Parks.

Millie is remembered as a loving and compassionate daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, aunt, and friend. All who knew her enjoyed her honesty, sassy personality, and sincere kindness. Working at Mount Holly Middle School for many years gave her an opportunity to make wonderful friends. She loved her Savior, Jesus Christ and always celebrated the day she would arrive in Heaven, free of her tired, earthly shell and be made whole again.

She is survived by her adoring daughter, Marla Killian; her beloved grandson, Kainan K. Daley; her granddaughters, Lydia E. Daley, Kindyll Killian, and Jayda Killian; her loved sister, Edna Clinton; and her treasured nieces, nephews, and their spouses, Lisa Nixon (Michael), Lori Cole (Tom), Angie Weisenhorn (Nathan), Chris Clinton (Ziana), Phillip Trantham (Patty), Rick Trull (Rhonda), and Melea Taylor Price (Kyle).
