Nancy Jo (Rollins) Dumas

Nancy Rollins Dumas, 79, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023. She was born in Gaston County, daughter of the late Roy Rollins and Helen Eloise Funderburk Rollins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Lewis Dumas; her son, Timothy Lee Young; her daughter, Kimisha "Sissy" Campbell; her brother, Tony Rollins; and her niece, Spencer Dixon.

Mrs. Dumas is survived by her sons, Darrin Dumas (Scoolie Pentolino), and Billy Dumas and his wife, and her favorite daughter-in-law, Buckie; her grandchildren, Amberlee Shuping, Tyler Young, Lauren Anson, Makenzie Brunner, Devon Young, Caleb Campbell, and Macy Dumas; her great-grandchildren, Mckenna Shuping, Makaylyn Shuping, Corbyn Anson, Harper Anson, Memphis Helms, Anna Campbell, Amelia Brunner, and Everleigh Young; her sister, Connie Dixon; and her brothers, Johnny Rollins and Kenneth Rollins.

She was a hard worker her entire life and gave over forty years of service to Freightliner in Gaston County. She will be remembered for loving her family and friends, her horses, and her dogs. She loved dancing, horse shows, and shopping.

A private service and inurnment will be held by the family. A public celebration of life will be announced soon.
