Nancy Stackpole

Nancy Rowse Stackpole passed away surrounded by her family on May 24, 2023. Nancy was born in New Rochelle, New York to the late Edward A. Rowse and Barbara E. Rowse. In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas Russel Stackpole.

Those left to cherish her memory include her son, Michael Stackpole and wife Marie and her son, John Stackpole and fiance', Mary Leigh. They have 2 daughters Megan Kirwin and husband Kyle and daughter Kayla Stackpole and (Shawn Collins). Also, Nancy’s brother Edward S. Rowse and his wife Suzanne, grandchildren Brittany Buehler Adam Stackpole, Sarah Stackpole Lily Stackpole, Sophia Vieira, Jacob Vieira and Zachary Stackpole. Also are Doug Rowse and wife Karis, nieces Julia Davis and husband Tim Davis and Jennifer Eck and husband Jeff.

Nancy appreciated growing up on the family farm in Loudon, New Hampshire. She liked animals, especially cats, and she graduated from Concord High School in Concord, New Hampshire. She and her husband Tom of 46 years enjoyed traveling together to photograph and document covered bridges. She shared her father’s passion for the Concord stage coaches and their reconstruction.

Nancy would give special thanks to her neighbors Rick and Audrey Blodgett for their care and assistance in her later years of life. Nancy was a charter member of the local Beta Sigma Pi sorority and held several positions there including president.

The funeral service will be held at the Hurley Cemetery in Hurley, New York in May 2024. All gifts should be given to the ASPCA.
