Sarah Patricia Blanton went home to be with our Lord on Friday, July 29 in Boiling Springs, SC in the presence of her family.

“Pat” was born to the late Benjamin Franklin and Harriet Nancy Angeline Davis of Lowell, NC. She is preceded in death by eight siblings, her late husband of 53 years (Binam Grant Blanton, of Mt. Holly), great grandson Levi Calo, and unborn twin great grandchildren. She is survived by her son Steven Blanton and wife Constance of Boiling Springs, their children Tiffany, Alex and wife Nikki, Devin and wife Elena, Caitlin, and Andrew, and great grandchildren Avie and Aiden; her Daughter Shanna Holland and husband Chad of Mt. Holly, their children Alexis, and Damon (Destiny) and grandchild Kamiea; her son Shawn Blanton and wife Rachael of Denver, NC, and their children Zoey, Colin, Azzie, and Ethan.

A lifelong native of Gaston County, Pat graduated from Holbrook High School and spent her early adult years working in Pharr Yarns textile mill in Lowell NC, where she would meet her husband. She obtained her certification in dietary management from North Dakota University in 1995 and worked as dietary supervisor for Alexandria Place Assisted Living Facility, from where she retired in 2016.

Pat was a woman of strong faith and bore an unwavering Christian witness to all. She loved her church family at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church and was often involved in quilt making and cooking through their outreach programs.

She enjoyed cooking and baking, working in her garden, and anything outdoors; her most treasured joy, however, was her grandchildren. It was rare that any of their visits didn’t result in a bag of sweets or a box full of toys making their way home with them. “Maw Maw Pat” truly loved all of her children more than life itself.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 6, 2022, at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church. Dr. Danny Penny and Pastor Dusty Smith will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Saturday at the church.
