**Obituary for Patricia Ann Brown**
Patricia Ann Brown, a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and devoted sister, passed away surrounded by family on Thursday, January 1st, 2026, at the age of 81, at Caromont Regional Medical Center. Born on March 9th, 1944, in the scenic landscapes of Habersham County, GA, Patricia lived a life of love, compassion, creativity, and a connection to nature.
Patricia spent her years creating beauty in the world, both through her art and her passion for the great outdoors. Her love for gardening and flower planting was widely admired, and her vibrant gardens were a testament to her nurturing spirit. Her fondness for pet birds filled her home with joy and song. Her famous banana pudding was a crowd favorite. She loved and cared deeply for her family. Her hugs and kisses, love and joy for life will be cherished.
Above all, Patricia’s greatest joy came from her family. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Linda Fife and son-in-law Robert Jr. Fife of Mt. Holly. Her legacy lives on through her granddaughter, Jessica Fife Von Canon and husband Stanton of Charlotte, and great-granddaughter, Adeline Von Canon. She is also survived by her siblings, Jack Powers and his wife Barbara of Mt. Airy, GA, Evelyn Dickerson of Green Cove Springs, FL, and Joanne Truitt of Cherryville, NC. She also had numerous nieces and nephews.
Patricia was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Robert B and Ida Whitener Powers, and her sons, Herman Clark Jr., Joseph Black, and John Clark. She also joins her late siblings, Junior Powers, Howard Powers, Ernest Powers, Alma Waldrop, and Barbara Moss.
The family finds comfort in knowing that Patricia rejoins so many loved ones in peace. A private burial will be held at Hillcrest Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. Arrangements have been provided by Woodlawn Funeral Home. A celebration of Patricia's life will be held in the Spring, to be dated.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Patricia’s memory to the Mount Holly Community Relief Organization, located at 2120 Spring St, Mt Holly, NC 28120, where her generous spirit may continue to make a difference in the lives of others.
Patricia Ann Brown’s presence will be deeply missed, but the warmth of her spirit, her love for her family, and the beauty she brought into the world will be remembered and cherished by all who knew her.
