Patricia "Patsy" Rice made her final journey home on Sunday September 15, 2024. She was born in Rockhill, SC to the late Raymond J. Miskelly and Annie Lee Miskelly . Patsy was a sister to five siblings. She was preceded in death by her brothers Donnie Miskelly, F.E. Miskelly and sister Becky Buchanan.
Patsy retired from Burlington Mills Industry where she was a dye lab tech for many years. She attended First Freewill Baptist Church where she was a member for 50 years. Patsy enjoyed singing in the choir and teaching the children's Sunday School class.
Patsy was a mother to 5 children: Randy Cook (Stephanie), Donna Sigmon, Bobby Cook (Cindy), Carol Breedlove (Eddie), Michael Cook (Sharan). She has 11 grandchildren,10 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Her spouse John Rice, and a brother Ronnie MIskelly (Jane), sister Vicki Cauthen (George) and a sister-n-law Marsha Miskelly
Patsy was the soul of her family and they adored her deeply. Her stories, laughter, warmth and endless hugs created a lifelong bond that will forever be etched in our hearts. Patsy was a comforting embrace that felt like home to everyone. She leaves behind a legacy on how to love deeply and love with compassion. Her memory will continue to be the sunshine on cloudy days, the joy in our triumphs and warmth in our hearts. We deeply miss her here on Earth but we know she’s singing and rejoicing with God in Heaven.
