Patricia Ann (Holmes) Thompson

Patricia "Pat" Ann Holmes Thompson, 78, passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2020. She was born in Horry County, SC, daughter of the late Henry Oliver Holmes and Gertrude Stevens Holmes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Virginia Holmes Harrelson. She was a long-time member of Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church, where she and her husband Robert led the Prime Timers.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Robert Lee Thompson, III; their children, Eugene Gregg Thompson, Robert Bert Thompson and wife Patricia Simmons Thompson and Cynthia Thompson Sheets and husband Victor; her brother, Henry Holmes and wife Nancy; her grandchildren, Krystal Mayberry and husband Caleb, Alisha Summey and husband Derek, Whitney Bass and Joseph Thompson; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly.

A service to celebrate the life of Pat will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church. Dr. Danny Penny will officiate. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at the church. In honor of Pat, memorials may be made to the Prime Timers Group of Stanley Pentecostal Holiness Church, 113 E Parkwood St, Stanley, NC 28164.
