Paul Hughes Clemmer Jr.

Paul Hughes Clemmer Jr. age 80, passed away on Tuesday April 19, 2022 at Belaire Health Center in Gastonia.  He was born in Mecklenburg county, son of the late Louise and Paul Clemmer Sr.  Paul owned and operated Paul's Superette for many years and was  a member of Fraley Memorial Baptist Church.   Paul also enjoyed riding horses, and listening to Bluegrass and Gospel music.  Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Cindy Clemmer; his children: Joseph Clemmer (Jessica), Suzanne Trotter (Brian), and Keith Robinson (Azizah).  He is also survived by his two sisters Anita McCorkle and Sherry Jacobs, as well as his grandchildren: Harlan, Niall, and Jovie Clemmer, Emma and Zachary Robinson, and Maliha and Anessa Berner.  The family would like to extend a special thanks to Jimmy Greene for looking after their dad during his time at Belaire.  The family would also like to thank Lisa McFadden for her special love and care during the last few weeks.  A service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday April 24, 2022 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Sunday April 24, 2022 also at the Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Belmont.  In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Michael J.
