Paul Richard (Dick) Stewart

Paul Richard "Dick" Stewart, 80, passed away on Thursday, November 5, 2020 at his home. He was born in Asheville, NC, son of the late Paul Hamilton Stewart and Mary Ruth Jarvis Stewart. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Mitchell; his brother-in-law, Buddy Mitchell; and his nephew, Stevie Mitchell.

He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and is survived by his wife of 61 years, Anita Murray Stewart; his daughter, Lisa Michelle Toomey and husband, Paul; his grandchildren, Tyler Dellinger and Kendall Dellinger; his nieces, Carrie Mitchell and Rose Mitchell; and  his beloved dog, Penny.

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Mr. Stewart will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Highland Drive Free Will Baptist Church, 2810 Highland Dr., Lincolnton, NC 28092. Pastor Luke Johnson will officiate. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care Charlotte Region, P.O. Box 470408, Charlotte, NC 28247.
