Paula Davis

Paula Davis, age 68, passed away peacefully on June 18, 2026, at Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas, North Carolina.

Born in Winston-Salem, North Carolina, Paula was the daughter of the late Jean Best. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend whose kindness and generosity touched countless lives.

Paula cherished time spent with her family, especially during family gatherings. She enjoyed shopping, traveling, and creating lasting memories with those she loved. She found great joy in giving to others, particularly her grandchildren and her many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.

One of Paula's favorite places was the beach, where she loved walking along the shoreline in search of beautiful seashells. She also loved visiting Asheville and especially enjoyed exploring the Biltmore Estate. Paula had a special fascination with the British Royal Family and loved talking about the Queen and the Royals. Wherever she went, her warmth, love, and caring spirit shined brightly.

Paula will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband of 50 years, Danny Davis; her son, Richard Davis (Amanda); her daughter, Kelly Davis; her sister, Jeanna Stirewalt (David); and her two beloved grandsons, Clayton Davis and Sawyer Davis, whom she cherished deeply. Her uncle Gene Oliver (Darien). She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and many close friends.

A Memorial Service celebrating Paula's life will be held on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly, North Carolina. The family will receive friends and family from 4-5 PM, followed by a service beginning at 5 PM.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Robin Johnson Hospice House.

Though her presence will be greatly missed, Paula's love, generosity, and the memories she created will live on in the hearts of her family and friends forever.
