Philip David McLaughlin, 87, passed away peacefully in the early morning hours on Thursday, June 3, 2021, after a valiant fight of complications from surgery. He was born in Ralston, PA, son of the late Howard McLaughlin and Viola Soper McLaughlin. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Stacia Lynn McLaughlin; his sister, Arletta Cromer; his brothers, Ken, Harold, Bill, and Edward; and his best friend, Reedy Martin. Phil was a Veteran of the U.S. Army 82nd Airborne Division.
Phil is survived by his wife, Jeanette Greene McLaughlin; his children, Cassandra Bird, Darrel McLaughlin and wife, Brenda, and Tracy McLaughlin and wife, Tammy; his grandchildren, Alex (Jared), Kevin (Desiree), Calob (Tammy Mae), Christina (Devin), Carrie (Jonathan), and Tamela (Greyson); his sister, Echo Ward (Ralph); his brother, Gerald McLaughlin (Esther); and a number of nieces, nephews, and close friends.
A graveside service to celebrate Phil's life will be held at 2:15 p.m. on Monday, June 7, 2021 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly. The family will greet friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
