Ralph Stewart Moore

Ralph Stewart Moore, 73, passed away on Monday, June 23, 2025. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Elzie David Moore and Marie James Moore. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John Harve Moore and Oll Daniel Moore.

Mr. Moore is survived by his wife, Julia Kathryn Moore; his daughter, Julie Marie Moore; his son, Michael Stewart Moore; his grandchildren, Derrik Moore (CiCi) and Corey Griffin; his great-grandchild, Scott (Little Al); his sisters, Irene McKee, Susie Anderson (Gene), and Carolyn McDermott (Joe); his brother, Sherrill Moore (Madeline); and a number of nieces and nephews.

The family will greet guests from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at Sunset Forest Baptist Church, Gastonia. A service to celebrate Mr. Moore's life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Sunset Forest Baptist Church, Gastonia. Pastor Jeff Hicks will officiate. Burial will follow at Westview Gardens Cemetery, Bessemer City, NC.
