Raymond A. Miller, 74, passed way on Thursday October 30, 2025. Raymond was born in Baltimore, Maryland. He was born to the late William Lewis Miller and Betty Jean Gilliam Freeman. Raymond served in the United States Army and he worked as a paper deliverer for several companies including Charlotte Observer, Gaston Gazette and Lincoln Times.
Raymond was a unique individual who loved his animals. He was a simple guy who enjoyed playing the guitar and listening to old gospel music. He was a guy who lived life "simple". He was frugal on spending and punctual to time and he was a well organized guy.
He is preceded in death by his dad William Lewis Miller. Those left to cherish his memories are his mother Betty Jean Freeman and his sister Donna Freeman, his daughter Jennifer Wise (Grady). His grandchildren Jessica, Jaiden, Jonah Gabrial and Christopher. He had one great grandchild Kenzie.
A celebration of life service will be held at Woodlawn Funeral Home Chapel on Monday November 3, 2025 at 6:00pm. Pastor Hugh Whitfield will be officiating the service. A private burial will be held at Salisbury National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Wounded Warrior Project. Woodlawn is caring for the Miller family.
