Rhonda Gail Bruce

Rhonda Gail Bruce, 69, left this world on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 11:50 a.m., surrounded by her family. She was born in Greenfield, Ohio, daughter of the late Betty Hough. In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Elliott.

Mrs. Bruce is survived by her husband of 50 years, Roy Timothy Bruce; her children, Scott and Ivy, Michael and Ginger, and B.A. and Heidie; her grandchildren, Katie, Sarah, Cameron, and Kaiya; her sisters, Alice Stites and Rebecca Nichols; her brother, Thomas and Diana Hough; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Rhonda was a loyal friend, fierce fighter, and a great cook. She loved being a mother of her 3 fine sons, and a proud grandmother, who was known as Mamaw and Nana to her grandchildren. She loved music, long phone conversations with her lifelong friend and classmate, Caroline, shopping with her sister, Nancy and close friend, Pat, and making her legendary chicken and noodles and frosted sugar cookies for family and friends.

A gathering to celebrate the life of Mrs. Bruce will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at the home, 325 Silvercliff Dr., Mount Holly, NC 28120.
