Rhonda Dorsey
Devoted Wife, Mother, Grandmother, and friend . It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Rhonda Lynch Dorsey, who died peacefully on Tuesday, June 17,2025 in her home in Charlotte, NC. Rhonda leaves behind a legacy of love, strength, and unwavering kindness.
Rhonda was preceded in death by her parents, James Clarence Lynch and Helen Ruth Whitesides Lynch of Mount Holly. She is survived by her beloved husband, Dale Dorsey; her two children, Aaron Dorsey and Christin Calvert (Drew Calvert), her cherished grandchildren, Delilah Dorsey and James Calvert, and her sister, Patsy Lewis. She is also lovingly remembered by many nieces and nephews, all of whom were touched by her warmth and generosity. Rhonda's life was a testament to her strength and independence. For many years, she dedicated herself to raising her two children as a stay-at-home mom, a role she embraced with care and love. She also extended that same profound care to her own parents, serving as a devoted caretaker before their passing. Rhonda was known for her ability to tackle any task; the kind of woman who could fix just about anything — with her signature pink tool bag in hand. She approached every challenge with determination, embodying her strong and self-reliant spirit.
A lifelong dog lover and avid gardener, Rhonda found peace and purpose in the natural world. She possesses a remarkable green thumb, as evidenced by her beautiful plants and gardens. Rhonda’s love for sports ran deep. She was a fierce fan of college basketball (Go Duke!) and professional baseball (Go Braves!). She had a competitive spirit of her own, and in her earlier years, enjoyed staying active by playing basketball and softball, as well as water skiing and snow skiing. She also had a creative side, finding joy in drawing and art. Above all, Rhonda was an extraordinary friend and a trusted listening ear. She had a gift for making others feel seen, heard, and loved. Her spirit, strength, and selfless heart will be dearly missed and forever remembered
