Ricky Lee Gibson

Ricky Lee Gibson, 77, passed away on Friday, November 7, 2025, at his home. He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of the late Leroy and Leona Pruitt Gibson. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Diane, Debbie, Christy, Donald, and Larry. Mr. Gibson was a U.S. Army Veteran.

Mr. Gibson is survived by his wife, Kimberly Horton Gibson; his children, James Gibson, Troy Gibson, Ashley Gibson, David Smith, and Randy Smith; 17 grandchildren; great-grandchildren, London and Waylon; siblings, Kenneth Gibson, Kevin Gibson, Michael Gibson, and Randy Gibson; and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service for Mr. Gibson will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, November 13, 2025, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will greet guests from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial, with military honors, will be held at 12:30 p.m. on Friday, November 21, 2025, at Salisbury National Cemetery, Salisbury, NC.
