Robert Edward Heavener

Robert Edward Heavener, 71, passed away on Friday, September 3, 2021. He was born in Gaston County, son of the late Bob Heavener and Helen Smart Heavener. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Bobby Heavener, Billy Heavener, Donald Heavener, Johnny Heavener, Paul Heavener, Thelma Black, and Dorothy Kiser. Mr. Heavener was a fisherman all of his life. He ran Fatboyz Carp Pond for many years, along with other carp ponds.

Mr. Heavener is survived by his children, Tammy Crunkleton and her husband, Michael, and Randy Heavener and his fiance', Darlene Ledford; his companion, Belinda Thomas; his grandchildren, Christine Heavener and her fiance', Earl Barnette, Elizabeth Banks and her fiance', Steven Gibson, and Robert Banks and his fiance', Carlie Spoon; his great-grandchildren, Brook, Brianna, Daniel, Layla, and Ethan; his siblings, Joe Heavener and his wife, Sherie, Russell Heavener and his wife, Polly, Jimmy Heavener and his wife, Tonia, Faye Winchester, Betty Connor, and Ruby Curry; a number of nieces and nephews; and many close friends.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Heavener will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 5:30 - 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday at the funeral home.
