Ronald Curtis Ray

Ronald Curtis Ray, age 74, passed away on Wednesday July 10, 2024 at the Robin Johnson Hospice House in Dallas.  He was born in Mcdowell County and was the son of the late Smith and Beatrice Edwards Ray.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Wayne and Jack Ray.  

He was a devoted family man who will be missed dearly.  In his spare time he loved to go saltwater fishing and cheer on the Duke Blue Devils and the Atlanta Braves.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years Sherry Ray; his son Michael Ray (Annemarie); his grandchildren: Zachery Ray (Brittany), Jordan Ray (Kelly), as well as his great grandchildren: Michael, Nathan, Rylee, and Jackson.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to Gaston hospice.
