Ronald "Ronnie" Jackson Griffin

Ronald Jackson Griffin, 79, of Mount Holly, passed away on Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Courtland Terrace in Gastonia. He was born in Gaston County to the late Charles and Margaret Williams Griffin. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Don Williams and Jim Griffin. He retired from Pharr Yarns as an electrician at the Crescent Division. Ronnie served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and painting in his spare time. Those left to cherish his memory include his former wife, Christine Shaw; his children, Gary Griffin (Tabitha), Gerald Griffin (Carole), Shelia Muse (Robert), and Brian Griffin (Charlotte); grandchildren, Heather Griffin, Christie Griffin, Cody Griffin, Ashley Griffin, Martina Searcy, Colt Muse, Kayce Muse, Brittany Stevens, and Sarah Griffin; five great grandchildren; as well as his siblings, Roseanne Abernathy, Roger Griffin, and Danny Ray Griffin. The family will greet guests from 11:00 until 12:00 p.m. Monday, August 29, 2022 at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held immediately following at 12:15 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly. Online condolences may be left at www.woodlawnfuneral.org.
