Ronnie Morrison Pressley, 71, passed away at home with his family by his side on October 20, 2025. Ronnie was born in Gaston County, son of the late John Morrison and Bonnie Honeycutt Pressley, and was preceded in death by a son Jason Pressley and a brother Rickie Pressley. He owned Ronnie's Landscaping Service for 35 years and retired from the City of Gastonia as a heavy equipment department supervisor. He was a member of Spiritual Guidance Church in Mount Holly, where he loved to play his guitar. He also loved to fish, loved woodworking and making bicycles for needy children. He is survived by his wife of 52 years Sylvia Lanier Pressley, a son Danny Pressley and wife Crystal, 2 daughters Melissa Pressley and Ashley Pressley Denison; two sisters Faye Pressley and Sylvia Davis; grandchildren Ariel Fox, Tyler Watts, Cierra, Haley and Jay Gibson and Hunter Pressley and 3 great grandchildren.
The funeral service will be held 2:00 p.m. Friday October 24 in the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly with his Pastor and best friend Reverend Tim Small officiating. The family will receive friends from 12:30 - 2:00 p.m. prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Iron Station Community Cemetery.
