Rudolph Chibbaro passed away suddenly and peacefully on Sunday morning, November 14, 2021. He was born in New Brunswick, NJ and resided in North Brunswick, NJ prior to moving to Belmont, NC 13 years ago.
He was predeceased by his parents, Janet and Isadore Chibbaro, and his beloved canine companion, Daisy. After retiring, Rudy enjoyed spending time with no set schedule, listening to music, riding around in his truck, sleeping, and doing whatever made him happy. He loved animals, fast cars, fast boats, and fast food, along with quiet times spent sitting on the back deck listening to the birds. A master tinkerer, he enjoyed woodworking and creating projects in his own way. Some were masterpieces, and some were deemed questionable by those who loved him. If you know, you know. His choice of fashion reflected his inability to see color the way God intended. But he didn't care...socks with sandals and "pretty blue" (purple) worked for him, along with bright orange and yellow. Rudy will be forever missed by those who knew him, including his pets Finnegan, Murphy, Rosie, Callie and Lily. He is survived by his longtime companion, Linda Curry, and her son, Keith, of Belmont, NC, as well as his sister, Maryann Chibbaro of Washington Crossing, PA.
A service to celebrate Rudy's life will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Friday November 19, 2021 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. also at the Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the American Cancer Society at P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City OK 73123 or to Mecklenburg County Animal Control at 8315 Byrum Dr. Charlotte, NC 28127.
