Ruth (Simmons) Deese

Ruth Simmons Deese, aged 91, of Mount Holly died peacefully on Thursday, December 30th. 2021.  Mrs. Deese was born in Gaston County, North Carolina to her parents Ernest and Dallas Simmons.  Mrs. Deese is survived by her children Rita Sherrill, and Rodney Deese (Twanna) both of Mount Holly.  She also is survived by four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her husband Robert Deese.  Mrs. Deese was a member of Second Baptist Church in Mount Holly.  A service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, January 4th. 2022, at 2:00 o'clock P.M. at Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service also at Woodlawn Funeral Home.  Reverend Roger Overton will officiate.  Burial will be at Gaston Memorial Park in Gastonia, N.C.  Memorials may be made in lieu of flowers to the Robin Johnson House, 5005 Shephard's Way Dr. Dallas, N.C. 28034.  Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly, N.C. is serving the Deese family.
