Ruth Lee Heavner

Ruth Lee Heavner, 87, passed away on Sunday, January 24, 2021. She was born in Lincoln County, daughter of the late Wiley and Ella Mae Trull Heavner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Dale Picklesimer. Ms. Heavner was a member of Alexander Memorial Baptist Church, Belmont. She enjoyed going to church, shopping at thrift stores, and family gatherings; especially Christmas breakfast.

Ms. Heavner is survived by her children, Larry D. Picklesimer and wife, Sue and Lisa P. Ottinger and husband, Thomas; her grandchildren, Brian Picklesimer, Chad Picklesimer, Jeremy Picklesimer, Josh Picklesimer, Treasure O. Brown; and 11 great-grandchildren.

A service to celebrate the life of Ms. Heavner will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Alexander Memorial Baptist Church, Belmont. Pastor Jerry Pennington will officiate. Burial will follow at Trinity Assembly of God Cemetery, Bessemer City.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alexander Memorial Baptist Church, 208 South Main Street, Belmont, NC 28012.
