Sandra Elaine Maynor, 59, passed away peacefully on June 3, 2024, at Sherrills Ford Hospice House. She was surrounded by loving family and friends.
Sandra was born on August 4, 1964, in Haywood County, North Carolina. She grew up in Gaston County. Sandra was a country girl, good friend to many, and beloved by her family. Most importantly, she loved God.
Sandra was a storyteller and entertained her family and friends with her great sense of humor. She was always positive and upbeat, and fought with grace and dignity to stay active despite many health issues. Sandra loved holidays, decorating for Christmas, and especially watching Christmas movies. She enjoyed The Eagles, Journey, and other Rock-N-Roll greats. She also treasured spending time with her great nieces and nephews, whom she adored.
Sandra retired from Blum, Inc., after 15 years of service. She enjoyed her job and friendships with co-workers, and was known for always winning the doorprizes at the company picnics and events.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Marie Shuler Maynor, and brother-in-law, Douglas Green.
Sandra is survived by her sisters, Marilyn Lineberger (Tim), Joyce Green, and brother, Eugene Maynor (Hobanette). She is also survived by her nieces Amanda Hester (Jamin), and their children; Katie Saine (Alan), and their children; nephew Jeff Green (Donna), great nephews Kenneth Green (Lisa) and Zack Green; niece Angie Green; great niece Carrie Anderson and her children; niece Cindy Williams (Gabe), great nephew Colton (Mykenzi) and their children; great niece Chelsea and her son; and niece Tonia Maynor.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday June 8, 2024 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. on Saturday also at the Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery in Mount Holly.
