Shanan Lynn (Millsaps) Blackwell

Shanan Millsaps Blackwell of Gastonia, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, June 25, 2021, at the age of 49. She was born in Gaston County to Larry Millsaps and Linda Gail Cook Stamey. She was preceded in death by her great aunt, Delores Johnson; and her grandmothers, Peggy Cook and Reva Passmore Millsaps. Those left to cherish her memory include her husband, Todd Blackwell; her children, Austin Bramwell, and Kaylee, Kendall, and Luke Meek; step-children Heather Smith, and Angel and Dale Blackwell; her sister Kyra Gnepper; as well as two grandchildren. The family will greet guests from 1:00 until 3:00 p.m. Sunday, June 27, 2021 at Sharon Free Will Baptist Church, 410 Reese Street, Gastonia. A service to celebrate her life will be held immediately following at 3:00, also at the church, officiated by her grandfather, Rev. Odell Cook, as well as Rev. Michael Spargo and Rev. Brian Spargo.
