Shelby (Michael) Farnsworth

Shelby Michael Farnsworth, 66, of Gastonia, died unexpectedly on Tuesday July 15, 2025. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Ted and Tywana Richardson Michael. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ralph Edwin Farnsworth, III.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Bryan Farnsworth and his wife Amy, and Dawn Farnsworth Mauldin and her husband Eddie; her siblings, Novella Whisnant and Teresa Michael; four wonderful grandchildren, Madison and Cameron Farnsworth, and Hayden and Hannah Mauldin; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate her life will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Friday July 18, 2025, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. Mr. Eddie Mauldin will officiate. The family will greet guests for one hour prior to the service.
