Shelia Lynn (Honeycutt) Ballard

Shelia Honeycutt Ballard passed away on her 73rd birthday, on Saturday, July 5, 2025. She was born in Mecklenburg County, daughter of the late Russell E. Honeycutt, Sr. and Patsy Rhyne Honeycutt. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Gay Hinson.

Mrs. Ballard is survived by her husband of 52 years, Jerry Alan Ballard; her son, Darrin Ballard (Jeni); her grandchildren, Bekah Ballard, Joe Ballard, and Topher Ballard; her siblings, Elaine Rogers, Russell E. Honeycutt, Jr. (Gail), Richard S. Honeycutt, and Jeffery Honeycutt (Karen).

A service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Ballard will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at the Woodlawn Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly. The family will greet guests immediately following the service. A private interment will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
