Sherry (Dunbar) Taylor

Sherry Dunbar Taylor, 84, of Mount Holly, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 3, 2023, at her home. She was born in Greenville, Maine and was preceded in death by her mother, Beth Mceachern Botzko; her stepfather, Nicholas Botzko; her husband, Irvin Steve Taylor, Sr., and her brother Dickie Dunbar. Sherry was a member of Second Baptist Church, Mount Holly. She loved spending time with her family and friends. She also loved to travel and shop.

Those left to cherish her memory include her children, Kim Taylor Stephens and her husband, Don, Irvin Steve Taylor, Jr., and Nicole Taylor Crawford and her husband, Keith; brother, Robert Dunbar and his wife, Cory; half-sister, Nikola Clapp and her husband, Phil; half-brother, Gary Botzko; grandchildren, Dereck and his wife, Ashley, Amy and her husband, Michael, CJ, Bethany, Shaun and his wife, Beth, Johnny and his wife, Meg, and Katie; great grandchildren, Madelynn, Langston, Marianna, Garrett, Riley, Aubrie, Devin, Coby, Josh, and Jonathan; one great-great granddaughter, Everleigh; and special friend Peggy Lovingood.

The family will greet guests from 11:00 to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 6, 2023 at Second Baptist Church, 740 Rankin Avenue, Mount Holly, NC 28120. A service to celebrate her life, officiated by Pastor Roger Overton, will be held immediately following at 12:30, also at the church. Interment will conclude at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
