Shirley Sisk Obituary

On January 2, 2022, Shirley Sisk passed away at Atrium Health in Lincolnton, North Carolina. Shirley was born December 24, 1936 to Raymond and Ella Camp of Cleveland County. To know Shirley was to love her. She always had a way of making you smile with her witty sense of humor. Some of her favorite things were watching Carolina Tar Heels Basketball, all types of gardening with her favorite being red roses. Shirley worked in textiles for 20 years then became a business owner of several restaurants. After moving to Oak Island for several years, she was a property manager. Upon moving back to Gaston/Cleveland County, she retired and spent time with family. Shirley was a simple, hard working woman who loved God and her family We will miss her in the days to come but are thankful for the promise to see her again. Until then, she will be the warm sun on our face, the gentle breeze against our skin, and the stars to light our path. Shirley is survived by sons, Richard Sisk and William Sisk, Jr.; daughters-in-law, Ramona Sisk and Angela Sisk; grandson, David Wayne Sisk, Jr.; grandson and wife, Phillip Sisk and Christina Sisk; granddaughter, Jessica Sisk; great grandchildren, Grayson, Jacob, Ellison, and Mason Sisk; sisters, Toby Owens and Ginger Davis; and sister-in-law, Nita Camp. Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William (Bill) Sisk; son, David Wayne Sisk,; daughter, Rita Kay Sisk; sisters, Doris Short, Geraldine Stewart, Bobby Acuff; and brother, Hoppy Camp. A private family service will be held at a later time. Memorials may be made to Gaston Hospice, St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, or to Gaston Skills.
