Stephanie Nicole Stanton 41, passed away Friday, December 29, 2023 at Caromont Regional Medical Center in Gastonia. She was born September 27, 1982 in Gaston County to Carmin Williams Dean and the late Max Clinton Dean, Sr. Those left to cherish her memory include her loving husband Charles Stanton, her son, Ian Msambichaka; daughter, Micah Msambichaka; bonus sons, Kyle Roper (Victoria), Austin Stanton, and Jon Stanton; brother, Max Clinton Dean, Jr.; her mother in law, Kaye Blake; sister in law, Carrie Whitworth (Steve); brother in law, Chris Moss; granddaughter, Maisyn Roper; nieces Lily Dean, Emily Jenkins (Brandon) and Keelan Moss; as well as a nephew, Syler Moss. Stephanie loved spending time with her family and seeing her son participate in his Special Olympic events. She especially enjoyed weekend getaways to her favorite place, Lake Lure. Stephanie was in the hospitality field where she had many different roles and thrived in each of those. She was a member of Gaston County board of hospitality from 2013-2015 and again from 2022-2023. A service to celebrate Stephanie's life will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 3, 2024 at Woodlawn Funeral Home, Mount Holly.
