Stephen "Steve" Joseph Woods

Stephen Joseph Woods, 74, passed away on Friday, October 25, 2024. He was born in Alamance County, NC, son of the late Walter Scott Woods, Jr. and Dorothy Ann Goodwin Woods. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Martha Woods; and his brother, Jerry Woods.  Mr. Woods was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran. He enjoyed deer hunting, carpentry, and oldies music that he sometimes like to dance to and loved watching the Redskins play football.

Mr. Woods is survived by his wife, Drema Dianne Scott Woods; his children, Joseph Small (Melissa) and Adrian Woods Eury (Aaron); his grandchildren, Mallary Huffman (Thomas), Zoey Cochran (Isacc), and Averly Eury; his great-grandchildren, Paisley Huffman; his siblings, Patty Davis (Ted), Ellen Isley (Chris), Chris Woods (Olivia); and a number of nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate the life of Mr. Woods will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 31, 2024, at Sharon Free Will Baptist Church, Gastonia. The family will greet guests at the church from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Thursday.
