Steven Wilson Poarch Jr.

Steven Wilson Poarch Jr. age 55, passed away on Saturday July 19, 2025 at his home.  He was born in Mecklenburg County, son of Steven Poarch Sr., and Glenda Young Poarch who survive.  He is preceded in death by his wife Tina Poarch, and his maternal grandparents Bud and Dorothy Young. 

Steven will be remembered as a caring and loving father who always went out of his way to help others and never expected anything in return.  He found happiness in the outdoors, especially on the river fishing.  He enjoyed time with friends who will always remember him having a smile on his face.  

Those left to cherish his memory include his child Chris Poarch; his siblings: Craig Poarch (Angie), and Stephanie Zubrinsky (Mark).  

A service to celebrate his life will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday July 25, 2025 in the Chapel of Woodlawn Funeral Home in Mount Holly.  The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service on Friday also at the funeral home.  

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be sent to the Humane Society.
