Steven Hunter Watts, age 77 went home to be with his Lord on Friday October 25, 2024 at his home. He was born in Gaston County and was the son of the late Sebie and Louise Stroupe Watts. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his granddaughter Breann Kirkpatrick.
Mr. Watts proudly served his country in the U.S. Army and went on to retire from Duke Energy after many years of service. He was the former owner of the Fish House Fish Camp and was also a member of Lakeview Baptist Church in McAdenville. IN his free time, he loved Coone hunting, dirt track racing, and fishing. He loved his entire family dearly, especially his grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Watts; his daughters: Nicole Watts, and Shelly Kirkpatrick (Tim); his grandchildren: Kayla Montijo (Nick), Morgan Watts, Stephen Watts, Haylee Watts, and Levi Kirkpatrick; his great grandchildren: Hayston Montijo Barrett Devine, Emberly Montijo, and Mattlee Medlin, as well as his sister Joy Carpenter.
A Graveside service to celebrate his life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday October 30, 2024 at Hillcrest Gardens Cemtery in Mount Holly.
