Sylvia Lynn (Bailey) McClintock

Sylvia Lynn "Linda" McClintock, 79, passed away on Sunday, May 10, 2026. She was born in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina to the late Julius and Aline Herring Bailey although she referred to Emerson L. Herring, her grandfather, as Daddy. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John McClintock.

Linda was a devoted wife and mother who cherished her family. She was referred to as "Nana" by her grandchildren, and she loved each of them dearly as her family was her greatest accomplishment. She loved living and spending time at the beach, which was her favorite place to unwind. She will be deeply missed by all that knew and loved her.

Linda is survived by her children, Anne Handrahan, Samantha (Julius), Shane Boyte (Danielle), and Dwaine Boyte (Shelby); her grandchildren, Tiffany, Cody (Starr), Triston, Taylor, Zach, Gage, and Justin; and her great-grandchild, Luna.

A graveside service to celebrate the life of Mrs. Sylvia Lynn “Linda” McClintock will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Friday, May 15, 2026, at Hillcrest Gardens Cemetery, Mount Holly.
